yes, that is the name of my post. you read it right, combination poopy. if you fear reading on, then i will understand. however, intrigue might propel you forward. for some time now the girls have periodically used the phrase "combination poopy" that makes absolutely no sense to us whatsoever. i think it originated in the bathtub one night when they were mixing the bath paint colors and it made a brown color. they had just heard "combination" when combining two colors to make a new color and it must of had something to do with the combining and the brown color. anyhow... so saturday we were able to use that phrase for the first, and probably the last, time in a sentence where it actually made sense.
our upstairs toilet was clogged. with combination poopy. meaning more than one persons poopy. i tried to unclog it myself in hopes that russell would not have to deal with said poopy. i had just laid sam down for a nap, tried to plunge it, then when i realized it didn't work and i was going to have to ask russ to do it i went downstairs to our bathroom to clean up for the day. he had the girls in the bedroom playing while sam napped upstairs. i got out of the bathroom and heard a lot of running around upstairs. i came out of the bedroom to a nice shower falling from one of the lights in the living room ceiling. behind that i could see what looked like rainfall outside the overhang on our back porch. russell yelled, "what happened?!" from upstairs where he is trying to clean up combination poopy. did i mention i forgot to turn off the water when it wouldn't plunge?
"this is really bad."
that is what russell said. after a plumber and a company called dry force came by and declared it "black water", we moved out and came over to my parents town home where we will be staying until they are done re-sheetrocking and carpeting our house.
also, on that same day as the dry force people were looking at our home insurance policy and setting up gigantic fans to dry the "black water" from the boards in our ceiling, abby started talking about being cold. even with three layers, socks, and blankets, she was cold. to follow was four days of all of us (including the baby) getting fever, aches, and chills. now we are left over with coughs and runny noses. there was also an ear infection in there in the middle of the night that the Lord mercifully healed.
this is why there have not been more posts lately. that's the story. combination poopy.

Pager - maybe it's because I'm a twin but combination poopy totally makes sense to me! By the way, get ready for lots of things that don't make sense at ALL to you and makes perfect sense to them!!!
TOTALLY feel for you! Our house had a tiny broken pipe that resulted in a week's stay in a hotel because the fans were all over our house! Almost a YEAR later and we still have not resolved everything with our insurance company- ugh. Hope everything dried out OK!
