sam likes to pretend. particularly if he can be a superhero, or cowboy, or an animal and play sports at the same time.

i realize i didn't even get a picture of his face, but i like these anyhow because of the subtle movements that are samuel. like in the second picture he is doing a little outward hip movement.. exaggerating the hit. and in the third picture i can see the face he is making without even getting it in the picture. he is gripping the bat real tight and squinting his eyes, gritting his mouth together, with a slight smile that says he knows how much we love watching him play.

i encourage you to take pictures. even if you don't always get their face or a smile. grab a camera some for the sad faces, the mad faces, the laughter, and the smiles. grab your camera even if all you have time for is the side or back of them. even in those times you will get moments of them. moments of them at that particular age and that particular time, which somedays seem fleeting.
