christmas cocktail party

last weekend we hosted our first mid century themed christmas cocktail party. 

 there was charades...

there was dancing...

 there were cigars and candy cigarettes...

there were even prizes in the form of a pipe, a vintage plate made into a cake stand, and some really classy medals.

 all in all i think it went down well. it was merry and it was bright.

it was also 78 degrees outside, but that's not important for the christmas spirit.

and the hat was is my grandmother's, since i know you wanted to get one.
