new door and a sick baby

when we moved into our house in december, we pretty quickly noticed our front door wasn't in the best shape. it was difficult to shut, and if you didn't lock it would sometimes just pop open. also there was a lot of light coming through, and thus heat coming through.
we had researched doors for a bit, and settled on the door light kits from crestview doors. there are a lot of options, but this fit us the best. since moving we have really gone the mid century modern route, and this door has been a fun fit.

the other day sam spent the night with a fever in our bed, and after waking in the morning fell asleep not once, but twice, for two little cat naps on the couch.

it was special.
and then last night abby had fever overnight. it broke today and came back again this evening. i came in to the living room from making dinner and found this.
