outside of friends blogs that i check in on, there is really only one that i look in on regularly. her love for Jesus and her family, her photographs, the way she makes her home a place of creativity and encouragement.... her heart and words are a comfort and motivator for me in many ways. the online photography class i'm doing coming up is given by ashley ann, and i took this idea from there as well.
using instagram, taking one photo a day of something that you are thankful for. at the end of the year, i will have it made into a square book to keep. i jumped in on this in february, but am in the process of gathering enough from january as well. so, here are some snapshots of a few of the many little things i'm thankful for...
*fresh flowers *my husband- using emma's princess headphones, listening to a christian rap cd, drinking a beer, and reading systematic theology *the car grocery carts *suckers and first haircuts *new neighbors *valentine's decorations *when emma falls asleep in the car *decorating and eating valentine cookies *a good book *nana and papa smith *good friends for my girls *my kids putting a blanket on and comforting our dog mae who is incredibly scared of thunderstorms *where's emma? stuffed animal "friends" *ikea - cinnamon rolls and pretty much everything else *blanket rides through the house *butterfly kits *when sisters snuggle little man *crocs *when doctors visits are helpful (and fairly calm) *our one long hallway *a new sink (with drawers) *coloring/painting time *swings *princess party with a princess doing magic *the zoo *precious moments of hand holding *a peppermint mocha - extra hot *don don who let's sam do fun things like this *first pair of soccer cleats and shin guards
