my sweet parents watched the kids and let me go play golf with russell and my brother joe. i haven't gotten to do that in quite a long time. i grew up with golf being a regular occurrence. i was generally watching my brother and dad play, or joining in myself. i really like to play with my dad, joe, and russ whenever i get the chance, which is not often, so i'm thankful i got to on this trip.

also, i got to spend some time hitting up a flea market with my cousin. no kids, so we meandered through and spent like three hours looking, which would have been substantially shortened with the kids. this mork and mindy game was the highlight for me. what? however, then we stumbled upon a battlestar galactica puzzle, which just puts me in the middle of an episode of the office, which makes me smile. we had nothing in our hands to purchase and thought we were done until in the very last booth when we both got hooked. this girl's stuff was right up my alley. also, in our new house we are going to do a mid century modern look, which the majority of her vintage christmas stuff and other goods fit right in with.
all in all, we had lots of delicious food, some wonderful conversation, and it was just a joyful time for me with my family.
