buddies

here's me and my best buddy ashley back in freshman year of college. 

and now here are our two little boys. buddies. finn was born three weeks before samuel. in the beginning of their friendship they just liked to sleep next to each other.

then they mainly just liked to sit next to eachother. sometimes they would hold hands. and sometimes sam would spit up on himself.

here they really got more actively involved. they scooted to each other and samuel liked to poke and lick finn. finn was unsure about all this, but drew the line when samuel crawled on top of him. unfortunately i didn't get a picture of that.

they next moved to the cruising stage, and samuel has sprouted up a little taller than finn. 

and then they began to plot against us. i like the second picture. they must both be thinking, "what's the big deal?"

finn captured my girls hearts the first day they met him.

how could he not... just look at him.

this last one is my favorite. precious little hands and feet.

it is so wonderful that the Lord leads friends into our lives who are constant, loyal, encouraging, and such good buddies that joy fills the heart with just a voice. i pray that our little boys will be that kind of buddies for each other too.
also, it's pretty cool to do craft shows together like we just did this week. however, i doubt the boys will do that :).
