this is where we have enjoyed welcoming many friends, family, neighbors, and many others into our home. this is where i have scooted many a lizard out the front door with emma and abby following behind laughing. this is where i rolled the girls in their bassinet when they were teeny tiny to take a nap while listening to russell make up a lullaby for them on the piano.
this is where russell has composed and played hours of some of the most beautiful music i have ever heard. this is where emma and abby love to dance to daddy playing piano.
this is where we put a treadmill that we had no room for anywhere else, to get motivated to exercise, that we used (maybe) a couple dozen times in two years, that we just sold for less than half the price to get it out of the way. nice.
waiting on the Lord. we put our house on the market may 21st. a day later we had two showings. that night we got an offer for full price. we moved into the option period set to close on july 7th. things started to seem a little off when they kept making issues of none issues and after extending the option period 4 extra days, they backed out the night before moving to pending.
i was in pretty full swing pack mode. so we basically went back to square one and have now been staying at my parents town home for two months, not wanting to move ahead of God, but knowing that He has told us to go. the girls want to go back to our house and talk about it a lot. "mom, if no one wants our house we can keep it right?" i don't know that they really get what is going on. we are so, so, so thankful to be able to stay here right now - thank you mom and dad! they have been awesome, especially considering we have backed into their garage door, scuffed up all their walls, our dog has stunk their rug up terribly, and really who knows what else.
we are going to go ahead and start going to church downtown in september regularly until only God knows when we will get moved down there. there must be good things in store in the waiting.
