we got back yesterday from our week in south texas. it was a great trip. the girls had a blast with everybody and samuel had a good trip too i think - outside of the car rides. that boy officially hates the car. a five hour drive was turned into eight because of all the stops due to crying. poor thing cried himself to sleep only to wake up thirty minutes later to discover, yes, he was still in the car, and yes, he was still really mad about it. i only broke down in tears once because i couldn't help him (which is good for me) and only once did abby say, "mama, i wish we didn't have a crying baby in the car."
this thanksgiving i am thankful for:
my God who supplies me with all i need in Christ Jesus
the fullness of life with my precious family
sweet friends and family who love us deeply
sleep
chocolate (i can always say that right)
a season of love and joy celebrating our Savior
now that we are back i am ready to be in full swing for christmas. hoping to put up outside lights tonight with russell and get all other decorations up inside, in the process of some homemade christmas crafts - some by myself and some with the girls - and have got to get going on presents (haven't even begun).
now if i can just find time to do any of it.
